Short BIO
Jose M. Juarez obtained a national 4-year Doctoral Fellowship in 2004 for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (AIM). He received the PhD with honours and European award, in 2007 from the Univ. of Murcia (Spain). He has done international research stays (A. Avogadro Western Piedmont Univ. , Verona Univ.) developing techniques of AIM. In 2007 he joined the Dept. of Neuroscience and Heath Sciences at the Univ. of Almeria (Spain). From November 2009 he is Assistant Professor at the Univ. of Murcia. His works have been published in international journals (more than 20) and several conferences. His activity also includes the popularization of AIM in Hospitals and Schools. He is member of the Spanish Society of Health Sciences and Informatics and member of the senate of the University of Murcia since 2010. He is co-organizer of the Computer Science Olympics for students up to 18, to promote the Computer Sciences in secondary schools since 2008.
